Words of hope do not seem to be as common as I remember.
But words of hope are still available to us.
It may take some time and training to focus on the hope because disagreements seem to be so loud.
We are empowered by The Holy Spirit to choose our focus.
The beauty of the Word of God is, truth and shalom are the foundation we need for words of hope.
In the end, none of it depends on us.
It is freely given.
Please take a few moments to enter into these following words of hope from Psalm 62.
Who is the object of our hope?
Not me or you!
I cannot save myself, but I know the One who can.
Where can we find stability?
Victory?
Honor?
Safety?
Who can be trusted?
Read them all the way through. Out loud is always good.
Then sit with these verses, breathing in, the Spirit inspired promises.
Use our God given gift of time, exchanging the lies of hopelessness in our heads, for words of hope.
Go slowly.
Attempt to stay with the promise you are on until you own it.
The art of Godly meditation.
Roll it around, experiencing it from every angle.
Only when it is yours, move to the next, building on your fresh words of hope.
Take days if necessary. I will.
5 Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
6 He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
7 My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
8 O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
for God is our refuge.

HOPE has been my favorite word in Jesus, especially thru Covid times.
