Look into my eyes. . . what do you see?
Oceans of peace. The storms in me calm, when I look in your eyes. . .
if I let go
Come under the shadow of my wings. What do you feel? I feel the softness of the down, and the warmth of your embrace. I feel safe, and able to calm my racing heart, and breath. Here I can sync my heartbeat to yours. . .
if I let go
Listen to my breath, to my ruach, my wind, breath, and Spirit. What do you hear?
I hear your gentle breeze, you’re still small voice encouraging and directing me. I can sync to your breath. . .
if I let go
As you rest and listen in my presence what do you taste?
I taste and see that you are good. I am assured that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. . .
if I let go
From that good place, what do you smell?
Rain, ocean, snow, the sweet smell of frankincense and myrrh. . .
if I let go
The sweetness of the frankincense and myrrh reminds me of the price you paid when you were born into our existence. The wise men came and gave you the gift of these. A foretelling of Nicodemus wrapping you in these spices after they took you off the cross.
BUT
You rose again conquering death, bridging the gap to Abba, so we may spend our lives with you here, in the land of the living. You give us hope, courage, joy, and so much more. . .
if I let go
With all that, we still have all eternity as your friends. Yes, eternal friendship with the Creator of all.
Come away with me!
Just put down what you’re doing, and come away with me, even for a few minutes.
You will never be the same. . .
if you let go.
