\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Several years ago I meet a person who called Jesus his brother. That made me nervous. A few years later I meet someone who prayed to God using the name Abba. It was new, but it also made me hunger for that kind of intimacy with the God of all creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I looked Abba up in the Aramaic <\/a>and in fact it means father in the common language Jesus’ day. In modern day Hebrew it means Daddy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I have grown to accept the love of the one who loved me first, I have become comfortable knowing I am accepted by our creator as one of His children. The following are a few points that I felt the Holy Spirit allowed to flow through me as I prayed about why I often talk to my Father God as Abba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He calls us His children He left the 99 for each one of us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He loves us so much that he died in our place so that we can be in His presence for all eternity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every time I call GOD Abba it is with the greatest respect as a perfectly loved child for her perfect Father. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe it is possible to have that kind of respect when we receive and walk in that much love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are safe in Him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is wholey other yet He lives inside us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He hides me in the shelter of His wings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sets me high upon a rock above my enemies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name<\/a> is carved on the palm of His hand.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He welcomes me, the prodigal and the first born who stayed, with equal love and, even honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is my response to honor Him in all I am and therefore all I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am hid with Christ in GOD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He calls me friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who look to Him will never be covered with shame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My knee bows and my tongue continually confesses that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of GOD the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every breath I take is from Him and for Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He chasens me as a loving Father because He loves me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am far from perfect yet He chose me to bear fruit that remains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, as I abide in Him He answers my prayers because He has given me free access to Him through Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And thankfully He loved(s) me first and that love is what compels me and invites me to His table to call Him Abba, Father.*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we all walk in the perfect love of God…. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
